Acts of Kindness
We had a surprise visit from Sue Fitzgerald, Sam’s Club Bloomington Distribution Center, with a check for $3,000.00.
This is in answer of our 2nd item on our Wish List, a new trailer. Sam’s Club has given Mary’s Wish a total of $7,000.00 in the last three years We are incredibly moved by their generosity.
Marilyn and I were presented with eight special gift bags, compliments of Cynthia Tonn of Chanhassen for the Virginia House, a special project of Mary's Wish. Each bag contains several household items and a home made quilt compliments of the "Quilting Group" of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Excelsior. "Simple Acts of Kindness" from very fine folks.

This group of energetic and big hearted youngsters are from the Sunshiners 4H Club of Norwood Young America. These young folks recently promoted a coat drive for Mary’s Wish to help ensure that the impoverished were able to obtain cold weather gear before winter. They were able to collect 200 coats and delivered them in person to our Furniture Depot. Along with the coats was a check for $100.00, making them members of the Top 100 Club! What a great group.
This group of proud dads and moms offered countless volunteer hours helping their children with community projects and ensuring that the Sunshiners 4H Club continues to function. They were great hosts for the Coat Project and we enjoyed them very much. Thanks for your kindness!
John Quale, a Local Partner, of the Original Mattress Factory in Maplewood, has donated to Mary’s Wish, gently used mattress’s from their warehouse to give away at the Furniture Depot. Bedding is very difficult to find and this helps us tremendously. We have an average of 20 requests for bedding per week.

In mid July, Mary’s Wish had the honor of meeting with and presenting a certificate of thanks to Diane Carlson, Executive Board Member of the Robert J. Fraser Foundation.

We are forever indebted to the Robert J. Fraser foundation for extending this privilege to us. Their generous donation was for $20,000.00.
